Dr. Austin D. Bohner is a fellowship-trained glaucoma specialist and cataract surgeon with expertise in advanced glaucoma management, minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS), trabeculectomy, tube shunt surgery, and complex anterior segment procedures.

A native of Utah, Dr. Bohner earned his medical degree from the University of Utah School of Medicine. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Southern California’s Roski Eye Institute and Los Angeles General Hospital, followed by a glaucoma and anterior segment fellowship at the University of Utah’s John A. Moran Eye Center.

Passionate about advancing glaucoma research, Dr. Bohner has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and presented at national conferences on glaucoma care, surgical innovation, and disparities in eye disease detection. Through the Moran Eye Center’s Outreach Division, he has provided eye care to the Navajo Nation and traveled to Tanzania to teach local ophthalmologists advanced glaucoma surgical techniques.

Dr. Bohner works closely with each patient to achieve the best possible outcomes. Outside of medicine, he enjoys cycling, trail running, and fly fishing with his wife, CiCi, and their Shetland Sheepdog, Henry.
